Sheri Winesett, President of HGBA is an ActionCOACH Certified Business Coach. Helping clients discover and develop their full potential, Sheri enriches the lives of the individuals and organizations she coaches on multiple levels.
Her mission is to enable businesses to maximize their ability and profitability. A former lobbyist at the state, national and international levels for corporate clients including Fortune 100 companies, Sheri has a proven track record of achieving results for companies such as Baxter Healthcare, Cardinal Health, Caremark and Stepan Company.
Her extensive experience in government and politics has made her proficient at cultivating relationships and bringing about change throughout all realms of an organization. Sheri holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Old Dominion University and is also a Certified Executive Coach and Master Licensee.
She has more than 17 years’ experience with a strong background in sales, marketing, customer service, training and strategic planning.Actively committed to helping businesses throughout her community, Sheri serves on the boards of KAZ Appraisals Inc. and the Haymarket-Gainesville Business Association, the Prince William County Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce and is the business partnership liaison to the Board of Women in Government Relations.
Steve Nelson, Chairman, PW County Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce
Steve Nelson is a man with a vision. Having graduated from Virginia Tech in 1982 with a degree in finance, he received an MBA in finance from the University of South Carolina in 1984. In 1997, he took over as the president of Junction Travel, Inc., a successful second-generation travel agency in Manassas providing quality travel services since 1983. Nelson's company specializes in leisure travel, and Nelson has traveled extensively throughout the world.
Nelson lives in Prince William County with his wife, Karen, and his twin daughters, Rebecca and Emily, age 13. Nelson cares about the community he lives and works in, and he currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Prince William Health System Foundation, SERVE, Inc., and Historic Manassas, Inc. He is also the City of Manassas' representative for the Prince William County Convention & Visitors Board.
In July, Nelson became the new Chairman of the Prince William County Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce. Established in 1935, The Chamber is one of the oldest and largest Chambers of Commerce in the area. Prior to taking over as the new Chairman, Nelson served in many roles for the Chamber and most recently as the Vice Chairman of Government Relations. He has been on the Board of Directors for six years, and he has received the Chairman's Award of Honor twice.
During his acceptance speech as the new Chamber Chairman, Nelson said there is no other place he would rather live than right here in Prince William County. He believes our area is the envy of most communities and offers unlimited possibilities. One of his main objectives in the upcoming year as the new Chamber Chairman is to plan for the future by developing a road map for the next five years. His vision is to communicate to the world that Prince William County is a great place to live, work, and have fun.
