The HGBA Board of Directors is elected annually each year. Nominations are received from members of the HGBA.
All board members must be active business owners and professionals in the Haymarket and Gainesville communities. Ours is a working board and each member plays a key role in the success of the HGBA.

The HGBA membership in attendance at the May meeting will cast votes for each of the positions and the results will be announced prior to the June meeting.

Prince William County and Manassas, Virginia Launch Civil War
Sesquicentennial Commemoration


Prince William County and the City of Manassas will hold more than 100 events over the next five years to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the American Civil War, the Prince William County/Manassas Sesquicentennial Committee announced today. The first major battle began in Prince William County.

Earth Day Celebration and Spring Festival

Join us on Saturday, April 16th from 10am-3pm.

This family friendly festival is created to inspire awareness and appreciation of our Earth and its natural environment. Recycling opportunities, children's activities, and other "earth friendly" activities abound. We would love to see you out on the treasure hunt, or at the stage entertainment or children’s activities that are around all day. And don’t miss out on the parade that starts at 10am or a Knit-a-thon at Needles in the Haymarket at noon. A Shred-It and electronics recycling truck will be located at The Fauquier Bank.

The Gainesville Chapter is now chartered with over 20 members, with an official name: Gainesville Professional Speakers (GPS).

Meetings are being held on the first and third Thursdays 8:30 to 9:30 am at Uno’s in Atlas Walk. Come and see how easy it is to practice your skills in the warm hug of your peers! You can just walk in to any meeting as a guest. Check our calendar for the schedule.

Greater Warrenton Chamber of Commerce Luncheon
You are cordially invited to attend GWCC's April 20 Luncheon at the Airlie Center sponsored by Michael Dick of Newton Manufacturing. This luncheon will start promptly at 11:30 a.m. Check in starts at 11:15 a.m. This luncheon will be held in the Jefferson Room at the Airlie Center. REGISTER FOR GWCC'S APRIL 20 LUNCHEON. The cost for this catered luncheon is $22 pre-register or pre-paid online via pay pal. Pay $25 at the door on the day of the event with no pre-registration. HGBA members attend at the member rate.
