Be part of the HGBA float in the Haymarket Day Parade - Saturday September 19th.
Congressman Gerald Connelly to be The Grand Marshall.

Please join us! Promote your business and ride our float.

Chris Ammerman has chaired this committee and credits Johanna Devon for the clever creative concept and theme "Grow Your Business with HGBA." The float will carry very young professionals (children ages 12 and under) in business suits (with room to grow.) Member signage (no charge) will be displayed, members are encouraged to ride the float, distribute their company information or walk with the float.

Construction
Signs and key elements for the float will be constructed on Saturday, September 12, at 9:30 am at Johanna Devon's home. Please come for the fun and to help at:
13849 Piedmont Vista Drive Haymarket, VA. Final assembly of the float will be on the morning of the parade.

Here is what we are still looking for:

  • A few kids under 12 to ride the float with us, dressed in grown-up suits, with a good throwing arm to distribute candy to the crowd. (A responsible adult must accompany the child.)

  • Some men’s suit jackets, fedoras, women’s blazers or other tops for the kids to wear as part of the theme. They will be returned.

Day of the Parade
Meet us on Saturday, September 19, 8:00 am at the parade lineup site (exact location to be disclosed by the parade committee; somewhere near Bloom), sporting your business’s logo on any clothing and with any promotional items you wish to carry or hand out. All who march in the parade are also welcome to bring a copy of your logo, printed on poster board or cardboard no bigger than 12”x14”, to be displayed on the float. The parade starts at 10 am.

If your children or grandchildren would like to dress up and be in the parade and throw candy to the crowd, and/or you would like to promote your business by riding or walking with us, please notify Johanna Devon, johannadevon@gmail.com.
