Our Speakers are Laura Rogers and Karen Nottingham. Laura and Karen will be updating the community about the the addition of Phase IV (Gateway Commons) as well as to provide an overview of events held at Virginia Gateway.

Ever wish you had more guidance other than -Don't chew gum? Now you have the opportunity to help tomorrow's leaders today. Battlefield Senior High is hosting Sophomore Interview Days. The first interviews are being held on December 11th. Deadline to register to participate is November 17th.

The Town of Haymarket and HGBA are hosting the Annual Holiday Party and Tree Lighting Ceremony. Saturday, December 6th, 3 to 5:30pm.
Come out for the festivities, enjoy pictures with Santa, a Smores station, lighted Candy Cane path, toasty bonfire and more. The Town will be collecting items to send to our armed forces overseas. Greatly needed: AT&T International Phone Cards, Disposable Cameras and Batteries (AA, AAA, C). Light the tree for COMPLETE information

Before he visits Haymarket - Santa, with his horse and carriage
will be in town to help light the Atlas Walk tree.

Festivities are on Saturday, November 22nd. Check the HGBA calendar, we will post more info as it is available or check the VA Gateway Calendar of events.

SUPERVISOR WATCH - TRANSPORTATION
Supervisor Stirrup’s next Gainesville District Town Hall Meeting will be held TODAY November 12, 2008 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the new Samuel L. Gravely, Jr. Elementary School, 4670 Waverly Farm Drive in Haymarket. The topic of this meeting is transportation, the Chief of Staff of the United States Department of Transportation, Quintin Kendall will attend along with State and County government transportation representatives. Jeff Brown, Energy Economist, will also provide an update on the power line issue.
