Company Background
How long have you been in business, and why did you choose the business you’re in?
I was in property management and marketing of rental communities most of my career for over 25 years, so when the opportunity to be the Director of Marketing at The Marque at Heritage Hunt became available, I was extremely excited about being a part of the beautiful active adult rental apartments in the great area of Gainesville, Virginia.

How does your business serve the Haymarket-Gainesville community?
We offer something new to this area as we are the only active adult rental community in the Haymarket-Gainesville area. Right now because there is not a movie theater in our area and we happen to have our own Marque Theater in our community, we have offered it to the community of active adults. We offer a FREE Movie Day with FREE popcorn and refreshments on the 4th Wednesday of every month at 1:30PM.  Everyone has been very appreciative that we are doing this for the community.

Business Experience
Please share one of the greatest moments you’ve experienced in your business.
Having the privilege of serving active adults and speaking with this group and gleaning much wisdom is something very rewarding to me on a daily basis.

Please share a few business tips you have learned that would benefit other business owners and professionals.
Always be honest and sincere and take time to build relationships. Remember that people do not care how much you know until they know how much you care. I believe that is a Zig Ziglar comment.

For you, what is the primary benefit of being an HGBA member?
For me, being involved with a group of folks that are passionate about the local area and networking with them and learning more about the area is a great benefit.

Just for Fun
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
Italy.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be, and why?
Knowing what lies ahead. Whether good or bad, I have always wanted to know what is on the horizon ahead.

If you could be famous, what would you want to be known for?
I would like to be known for the life that I lived on this earth; a life of good character and moral standards, honesty and sincerity, and lasting relationships.  I would also like to be known for the many lives I was able to touch and the legacy I left behind.
