Company Background

How long have you been in business, and why did you choose the business you’re in?
I have been working with energy medicine since the late 70’s. My first clients were horses. I learned techniques from Linda Tellington Jones and others. I switched to people in the 80’s. I started working with nutritional supplementation around the same time. I became a kinesiologist in the nineties and completed my Certified Natural Health Professional in 2005.

It’s all the fault of a horse named Dancer, and working in the group health insurance claims business for 20 plus years. One gave me a numerical / personal insight into the true cost of our healthcare system, the other taught me there is always more than one way to approach things that work.

How does your business serve the Haymarket-Gainesville community?
The combination of services I provide is unique. As far as I know there is no one else in this area offering the Enzyme Profiling and Supplementation much less the Neural Energy techniques in this area. With the length of experience and the combination of services I am able to tailor a complete program to fit an individual rather than telling the individual to fit into my program.

Business Experience

Please share one of the greatest moments you’ve experienced in your business.
There is no one experience. Should I choose the fellow facing radiation that was told the average number of hospital stays while undergoing that treatment was 5 that was spared all of them? Should I choose the person who stopped having nightmares every night? Should I choose the senior who thought she’d lost her sense of taste and found out it was the food not her? Should I choose the person set a personal best time when she was worried about even getting through the race? Or should I choose the person who has just lived life for twenty years without drugs or more than the occasional cold? I don’t know, you choose.

Please share a few business tips you have learned that would benefit other business owners and professionals.
The biggest thing I can share is to keep your ego out of your business. That’s not to say hide your talent, but it is to say keep your business focus where it needs to be, on your client. I have met so many people who come across as they are the gift to the world. I generally don’t see them for very long. They don’t last.

Working with HGBA

For you, what is the primary benefit of being an HGBA member?
I am not connected to the social community in Haymarket. HGBA allows me to meet other professionals, learn about their business, form strategic alliances and make new friends. Our communities are not islands, we need to interact. I would hope others will want to learn what I do to help others tap into my more than 30 years of in depth experience in alternative health.

What If?

If you you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?

The Mediterranean, probably Spain; I love food and warm weather. I love architecture and the mix of cultures. Did I say I love food? Real food, not food like, not fill.

If you could have a super power, what would it be and why?
That with a touch I could help people see what they are doing to this planet and themselves. There is a Native American proverb “We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children.” The touch would give an understanding of that.

If you could be famous, what would you want to be known for?
I will create workshops and study programs that affect the quality of people’s lives.
